On the First Day of Girls Plus Math, My Teachers Taught To Me...

First day, new start. Today we learned about a female mathematician named Hypatia, who was born in Egypt in late 300's AD, and ended up a well-regarded woman for her time. She was killed for "being a witch" about 115 years later. We also learned about Venn Diagrams, sets, or groups of objects, the game Set, polynomials, and my personal fave, polynomiography. Polynomiography uses polynomials to create really cool art, and also uses coding to create images. Here's one of the pictures I made... Looks like a jellyfish, right?
